The deadline to file for the 2025-26 Measure O Senior Exemption is January 31, 2025.
The Measure O Senior Exemption must be refiled every year to maintain the exemption. There are no exceptions.
Please read carefully, sign and date your application, and send supporting documents with your name and address visible.
When you receive the exemption, the charge ("RHFPD PCL TX") will be removed on your 2025-26 property tax bill. Please be aware that a fire district tax in the amount of $111 ("RODEO/HERC FIRE") will remain on your bill. There is no exemption for that separate tax.
Submit your exemption documents by dropping your completed forms in the large mail box located next to the office door at Station 76 in Hercules (1680 Refugio Valley Rd), by mailing your forms to the same address, or by uploading your documents below:
